The Deputy Commissioner Amrit Singh I.A.S today visited the Border Villages i.e. Bhakhra, Jhuge Hzara Singh, Gatti Rajjo K, New Gatti Rajjo K and Gatti Raheme and monitored the Development Works. The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by ADC (D) Sh. Arun Kumar, SDM FZR Ranjit Singh Bhullar and the development staff.

Developments works to be undertaken under Manrega were sanctioned at the spot by the Deputy Commissioner. She also interacted with the village panchayts and the villagers. During this time, the Villagers raised the issues of pensions, Kachha houses and manarega labour payment. 

The Deputy Commissioner gave a patient hearing and settled majority of the issues on the spot. Meanwhile, he directed the officials of the department to complete the development works in stipulated time. She further said that any negligence in development works will not be tolerated. If any negligence is found in the development works, appropriate action will be taken.
