As we all know Punjabi artists never stayed back to voice against wrong things. Adding to the list, this time Punjabi singer Ranjit Bawa raises his voice against a Bollywood film. It is none other than Janhvi Kapoor’s ‘GoodLuck Jerry’..
Taking to Twitter, Bawa has voiced his anger toward the movie. He wrote that in ‘Good Luck Jerry’ once again, Punjab has been shown as a drug addict. He asked if Punjab will only be featured as a drug state. Not only did he express his anger but also tagged the CM of Punjab in his tweet and used hashtags - #shame #target #state #Bollywood. Speaking of the film, GoodLuck Jerry shows Jaya "Jerry" Kumari (Janhvi), a Bihari who moved to a tiny town in Punjab where she works in a massage parlour after losing her father in a stampede at a train station. Her mother, Sharbati, makes a career selling vegetable dumplings, while Chhaya "Cherry" Kumari, her younger sister, is a student. And this Bihari woman works as a drug smuggler since she lives in Punjab and wants to make quick cash.

But it seems like Ranjit Bawa was not pleased with the story's depiction of drug misuse in the state of Punjab. Twitterati also supported him, and the same can be seen in the comment section. Meanwhile, about Janhvi, after the release of her film, people lauded the actress for her performance in it and said she was phenomenal in this film.
