The arrangements for Digital Week and 'Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya' week activities were today finalized here at a meeting chaired by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda Vikas Sharma.

It was informed that the twin events were being organised under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) and the activities would be supervised by ADDC. The Digital Week is being celebrated from 25th of July to 31st of July while DIGI- Mela shall be held at Community Hall Doda from 25th of July to 27th of July.

Similarly, the other important event is being organised to showcase the progress achieved in the country in last 75 years in Power development Sector, including electrification of villages.

“The main event of Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya week will be held at Community Hall Doda on 26th of July and at Community Hall Bhaderwah on  July 28, 2022” the meeting was told.The District administration, particularly revenue department is focusing on digitisation of Jamabandies and issuance of Land Pass books to the land holders during the coming week.

Progress of work under Amrit Sarovars programme was also reviewed in the meeting.Regarding Digital Week, it was informed that J&K Government has launched over 200 digital services in all the major departments for ease of the public and to bring transparency in delivery of services to the citizens. Majority of online services have been linked with Rapid Assessment Services (RAS), where beneficiary can rate the services delivery by a particular agency/ department.

The DDC informed that during the week-long celebration the Citizens would be imparted awareness about online services being offered by Revenue, Social Welfare, Health, Labour and other departments through Digi Yatra (Mobile Vehicles with 2 resource persons), Panchayat wise awareness programmes to be conducted by Banks/ CSCs and government departments, awareness of Students in 138 Higher Secondary and High Schools of the district and through all types of media, Nukad Natak, pamphlets, etc.

For the celebration of Digi Mela from 25th of July to 27th of July, different departments will put up 30 stalls at designated locations, where the staff will impart awareness and provide different online services to the public.Regarding Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya Power @ 2047 Week, it was informed that besides main functions, Bijli Mahotsav have been scheduled at village  Dhandal of Bhagwah Block on 27th of July and at village Tanta of Thathri Block on 29th of July.

“For Digitisation of Jamabandies and issuance of Land Pass Books, 17 villages have been selected  in the first instance and printing of land pass books is going on,” the DDC said. The land pass books would be distributed by the Revenue department among land holders during the Digital Week at village level.

The DDC also reviewed the progress on the development of Amrit Sarovars. It was informed that details of 93 Sarovars identified for development have been uploaded on the designated portal and work on 36 Sarovars has already been started.The meeting was attended by ADDC, Dr Ravi Kumar Bharti; ACR, Sanjeev Kumar; CPO, ACD, ACP, DIO, DIO NIC, Ex En JPDCL and other concerned officials.
