District Development Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma today convened a meeting of key officials of various line departments to review the progress of departments under District capex and Area Development Program.
During the meeting threadbare discussion was held with regard to estimation, tendering, accord of AA, number of works ongoing during the first quarter, physical and financial status of all the ongoing works, and issues impending the progress in various works, with the concerned departments.
The DDC directed all the line departments to pace up the estimation, tendering and allotment of all the works approved under District capex and under Area development program. He further asked them to lay special focus on the completion of alloted works both physically and financially.
The DDC further directed all the line departments to ensure that all the non construction works be disposed of immediately as they do not require any execution on ground. Besides, he asked them to take regular reviews regarding the works entrusted to them under different heads and the minutes of the meetings of same to be shared with DC office as well.
The DDC asked the line departments to mobolise men and machinery in their respective areas so that all the works are completed during the working season avoiding last minute competition practice.
With regard to issues including insufficient amount allotted to different works the DDC directed the concerned departments to resolve the issue in coordination with appropriate authorities within next few days.
The DDC conveyed his displeasure to the laggard departments and issued strict instructions to them to improve their working and come up with appreciable progress in the next review which shall be taken after a week.The meeting was attended by PO ICDS, SE PDD, SE PWD, SE Hydraulics, CPO Doda, ACD Doda, AC Panchayat, Ex Ens, AD Planning DC office, and other concerned officials.
