The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza who is also Chairman District Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), today approved Rs. 960 crores District Action Plan (DAP) under JJM in the district.The DC approved the DAP while chairing a JJM Committee meeting at Conference Hall, here.

Emphasizing on the early execution and completion of works, the DC said that as many as 163 Water Supply Scheme (WSS), projects shall be taken up under the DAP to ensure tap water supply to all households across the district.The meeting was informed that the projects include construction of OHTs, filtration plants, retro fitting, laying of pipeline network, tapping of different potable water resources, etc to cover all pending households across the district.

At the outset, the DC reviewed the status of under construction WSSs, DPRs, tendering, work allotments of all JJM works and stressed on concerned to work in tandem and synergy to ensure early completion of all projects.The chair was apprised that out of total 127555 total rural households, 70606 households shall be connected to supply tap water under various WSSs under JJM.

The DC also took the detailed review of estimations, rate revisions, re- tendering, allotments for construction of filtration, plants OHTs reservoirs and laying of pipelines and other related works.He emphasized that all JJM works be executed on a fast track basis and instructed the concerned to conduct IEC activities through sign boards, hoardings, public announcements and public interactions programmes in all areas.

The meeting among others was attended by ADDC Budgam, Dr Akramullah Tak, JD Planning, SE Hydraulics, EX. Engineer Hydraulics, CEO, CMO, ACD, Executive Engineer PHE, AD Planning, AEEs and other concerned.
