Deputy Commissioner cum District Collector Vishesh Sarangal has directed the Improvement Trust Phagwara to make a comprehensive plan to provide affordable housing to meet the challenge of growing population in the city.He said that every aspect such as population, commercial interests and development schemes should be framed as per the future requirements so that it can provide maximum benefits to the common man.
During a meeting of the Price and Rent Fixation Committee of the Improvement Trust Phagwara at the District Administrative Complex here today to fix the reserve price for the development schemes for the year 2022, the Deputy Commissioner said that the reserve price should be in line with the newly introduced collector rates.
During the meeting , the proposals to increase the reserve price of residential and commercial properties at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar from 7 to 15 % was approved.Similarly, the proposal to increase the reserve prices of residential and commercial properties at Guru Hargobind Nagar, Babbar Akali Market was also approved.
A 20 % increase in the rent of the building of the Town Improvement Trust, which is leased to the Excise Department, was also approved.On this occasion, SDM Randeep Singh, Executive Officer Surinder Kumari and other officers were present.
