BJP continued to attack Trinamool Congress over its MP's comment on Goddess Kali and said that Mamata Banerjee instead of acting against Mahua Moitra, defends her obnoxious portrayal of deity 'Kali'.Sharing part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech on the birth centenary celebration of Swami Atmasthananda on Sunday, West Bengal BJP co-incharge Amit Malviya tweeted, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaks reverentially about Maa Kaali being the centre of devotion, not just for Bengal but whole of India.

On the other hand, a TMC MP insults Maa Kali, and Mamata Banerjee instead of acting against her, defends her obnoxious portrayal of Maa Kali."Later in another tweet, Malviya said, "Smarting under public rebuke from Mamata Banerjee, TMC MP is using repeat defiance on the issue of Maa Kali to humiliate her, diminish her stature as a leader, knowing fully well that she wouldn't be able to act against her, for fear of angering her Muslim vote bank.

"In his address, the Prime Minister had said, "Swami Ramakrishna Paramhansa was one such saint who had a clear vision of Maa Kali, who had surrendered his whole being at the feet of Maa Kali. This whole world, this variable and constant, everything is pervaded by the consciousness of the mother.

This consciousness is seen in the Kali Puja of Bengal."The Prime Minister underlined that a beam of this consciousness and power was illuminated by Swami Ramakrishna Paramahansa in the form of Yugpurush like Swami Vivekananda and the spiritual vision that Swami Vivekananda felt about Maa Kali, had infused extraordinary energy and power within him.

"A mighty personality like Swami Vivekananda would get excited like a small child in devotion, in the memory of Jaganmata Kali," Prime Minister Modi said.
