District Development Commissioner, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting to review the progress on NH144A.During the meeting, it was informed that there are 8 packages of the project under which the existing road is being upgraded. The packages range between Akhnoor and Poonch.
The meeting discussed package 3 and 4 of the project. Seeking the status of compensation paid to claimants, it was apprised that compensation has been paid to 157 claimants. DDC also stressed on timely payment of compensation of structures to the rightful claimants.
While reviewing the progress on the project, the DDC directed the concerned officers to mobilize men and machinery to ensure that the work on the project is completed within the already set deadline.For timely clearance of the developmental bottlenecks, the DDC asked to maintain interdepartmental coordination and hold regular meetings to sort out issues.
Officers who attended the meeting included ADC Nowshera, Kartar Singh; ADC Sunderbani, Vinod Kumar Behnal; AC Defence, Saleem Qureshi; SDM Thanamandi, Vikas Dhar and other concerned officers from the BRO.
