District Administration has dedicated NARI SHAKTI MARG to distinguished local woman of Ferozepur. Informing about the street Mrs Amrit Singh IAS, Deputy Commissioner said that these women have broken the glass ceiling and created landmarks in various fields. 

As an ode to them, this street has been dedicated to highlight their achievements and to honor them so that they become an inspiration for other young girls and boys. She said that their success would instill a sense of faith and confidence amongst youth of Ferozepur, which is a border and an Aspirational district, that they can achieve anything that they put their minds to. 

She said that this would go a long way in changing the perception of how society views women.The inauguration ceremony was attended by some of the woman achievers from the district and district administration felicitated them with saplings wishing them greater success in future. Mrs Amarpreet Kaur, IAS resident of Sayianwala village, Ferozepur was the Guest the Guest of Honor for the event.

Speaking on the occasion District Programme Officer Rattandeep Sandhu said that Department of Woman and Child Development has always strived to portray the positive stories of woman from the district under the programme of Beti Bachao Beti Padao and this "Nari Shakti Marg" is one step forward towards the same effort.  

She said that through this street, District Administration feels proud in conveying the message of Sri Guru Nanak Devji, 'SO KYO MANDA AAKHIYE, JIT JAMMEH RAJAN', as this street clearly shows the reflection of today's empowered woman.
