Vivek Sheel Soni IPS, Senior Superintendent of police, SAS Nagar briefed the media that SAS Nagar Police got a major breakthrough in a drive against drug dealers/gangsters who are operating in tricity. As per the directions of Punjab Government to break the nexus between drug smugglers and gangsters, Mohali Police has arrested three accused namely Devraj Sharma s/o Jaimal Ram, Bunty Sharma s/o Devraj Sharma and Gaurav Sharma @ Gauri s/o Devraj Sharma all are resident of Raja Ram Colony, Badmajra, PS- Balongi, Mohali in a special search operation under the supervision of Sh. Bikramjit Singh Brar, PPS, DSP, Sub Divison, Kharar, SAS Nagar conducted by Pariwinkel Grewal, SHO Balongi along with his team in the wee hours of today at Village Badmajra and recovered 137 gm heroin worth lakhs of rupees in international market and drug money Rs 3,07,500 from their possession.

 A case FIR No. 85, Dated- 02/07/22, u/s 21,22- 61-85 NDPS Act, PS- Balongi, Mohali registered against arrested accused. SSP, SAS Nagar further briefed that during the initial investigation, Gaurav and Bunty revealed that they are associated with Rajinder [email protected] Joker of Bhiwani, a member of Lawrence Bishnoi gang. 

Rajinder @Joker is presently absconding in Sidhu Moosewala murder case.He provided logistics and hideout at Uklana Mandi City of district Hisar, Haryana to shooters involved in Sidhu Moosewala murder. They are co-accused of Rajinder Singh @ Joker in Case FIR No. 211 dated 11-11-2021 u/s 307 IPC and 25-54-59 Arms Act registered at PS Phase-1 Mohali. 

Bunty’s elder brother Ravi is presnelty lodged in Jail in the murder case of auto rickshaw driver at Balongi in January-2022.Ravi is also associated with this gang. Further investigation is going on to gather information about their associates and their areas of drug distribution.
