Deputy Commissioner, Ramban  Mussarat Islam today inspected availability of civic amenities at Langer sites   and Lodegment Centres  established for Shri Amarnath Ji yatra pilgrims here along the National Highway between Nashri to Banihal.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Sharma; SDM, Gool Gias–ul-Haq; DGM SASB, Vijay Kumar; Tehsildar Ramban, Mohammed Rafiq  and other concerned officers of civil and police department also accompanied the DC. 

He reviewed the arrangements for sanitation, water, electricity, and fire safety and health care for the yatris. He directed the concerned officers to ensure availability of all basic services as per SOPs for the Yatries in the lodgment centres and Langer sits.

He directed the Langer managers to follow the standard operating procedures to ensure smooth service besides cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation.The ADC appraised the DC about the arrangements made by various departments for the convenience of yatris. 

The DC asked the officers to put in place an effective response mechanism with active emergency control numbers.Later, the DC along with SDM Ramsoo, Viqar Giri and CEO, Dev Anand also inspected the functioning of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya,  Magarkote in Ukhral zone besides taking stock of progress on construction of new building of KGBV.
