In view of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SAJY) 2022, J&K Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKSRLM) has established the Umeed Rural Haat at Haripora, Manigam Ganderbal.The Mission Director JKRLM, Indu Kanwal Chib today visited the site and took stock of arrangements there.

During the visit, the MD took a round of the stalls installed by various SHGs of the district. She enquired about the local items and facilities available at the Umeed Rural Haat.During the inauguration event, the Mission Director laid emphasis on empowerment of rural women and women taking lead in upscaling the socio-economic status in the society and to make the rural women self-reliant.

Speaking on the occasion, the MD said that as a new initiative for welcoming Shri amaranth Ji Yatris traditional Kashmiri cooked cuisine shall be served at the designated Rural Haat throughout the Yatra period.All SHG hand made products will be available for sale at the rural Haat and women are enthusiastic and ready to welcome the Yatries and expect good business. 

She also complimented the zeal and zest of the Ganderbal team and wished them all the best for a memorable and successful Yatra.Among others, District Programme Manager Ganderbal, Ms. Zahida Rashid, Block Programme Managers of Lar and Wakura and other concerned.
