The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir e-inaugurated Jio Tower Teetwal near LoC in Karnah sub division from D.C Office Kupwara today.Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kupwara, Ghulam Nabi Bhat; DFO Kamraj, DSWO and employees of D.C Office were present at the occasion.
Speaking at the occasion, the DC said that it was a long pending demand of local people of Teetwal which has been fulfilled with much effort by the District Administration.He said the people from different walks of life especially students were facing a lot of hardships due to non-availability of the mobile network.Meanwhile, the local people from Teetwal area have expressed their gratitude towards the DC for fulfilling their long pending demand within a short span of time.
“We are connected with the world now, like our brothers do in other parts of Kupwara and Tangdar”, said Javaid Ahmad, a local resident of Teetwal residing at zero line adding that people here are jubilant for having the first time mobile network connectivity. It is infact history for the people of Teetwal which has been created by the strenuous efforts of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir, he added.
