SAJY-2022: DC Budgam finalizes arrangements

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza Tuesday chaired a meeting at New Conference Hall, here to take stock of preparations and arrangements put in place for upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SAJY), 2022.

At the outset, the DC said that there shall be direct Helicopter/ chopper services available for Amarnath Ji Yatris this year from Srinagar Airport to Holy Cave in Anantnag District.The meeting was apprised that Nodal Officers have been deputed at Airport to perform the assigned task. 

“Sufficient staff has been nominated and deputed to Srinagar Airport and Helipad at Humhama for further duties”, the ADC remarked.During the meeting, the DC exhorted concerned officers to ensure fool- proof entry of Yatris having unique Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) for which E-KYC Counters have been set up already.

There shall be a night stay facility available for Yatris also with uninterrupted water and power supply, the DC said.Taking stock of transportation services, the DC instructed ARTO Budgam to ensure hassle-free transportation of Yatris from Srinagar Airport to Helipad set up at Humhama.

The DC further instructed ADC Budgam to process the entrance passes for the employees deputed for duties at Srinagar Airport and Helipad at Humhama.The DC also emphasized on cleanliness and sanitation and in this regard, the DC exhorted concerned officials from Municipality to ensure needful is done at an earliest.

Among others, the meeting was attended by SSP Budgam Tahir Saleem, ADC Budgam, CPO, GM DIC, CMO and other concerned officers and officials.
