Vivek Sheel Soni, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, S.A.S. Nagar said that on 10.06.2022, a property dealer Harjit Nagpal was robbed of Rs 1 crore at gun point. One person was also injured in this incident. Consequently, FIR No 193 dated 10.06.2022 U/S 307,397,120-B IPC and 25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Dera Bassi.
Various police teams under the supervision of Mr. Gurbakshish Singh, DSP (Sub Division Dera Bassi), Mr. Kuljinder Singh, DSP (Investigation), SHO PS Dera Bassi, SHO PS Lalru, SHO PS Handesra and I/C CIA Staff SAS Nagar were deputed to trace the robbery case.
He said that three members of the gang have been arrested and recoveries from them are as follows:
Arrested accused:
1. Ranjodh Singh S/o Pargat Singh R/o Village Jhandian Kallan, Distt. Ferozpur, aged about 33 years, presently residing at Flat No 700, Block D-6 Penta Homes, Zirakpur. Accused has been arrested and he is on 5 days police remand. During Investigation Rs 28 Lacs has been recovered from his house.
2. Maninderjit Singh S/o Kuljit Singh R/o Village- Badala Johal, Distt Amritsar aged about 25 years. Accused has been arrested from Jandiala Guru Amritsar by CIA Staff and SHO PS Handesra. About Rs 40 Lakhs has been recovered from him during investigation.
3. Saurav Sharma S/o Rajveer Singh R/o # 56, Ward No 13 Vishnu Nagar, Gohana aged about 22 Years. The accused arrested on Monday from his house by the teams of SHO PS Dera Bassi and SHO PS Lalru.
Total Recovery: Rs 68 Lakhs in Indian Currency and a Car Honda City Bearing registeration No DL-4CNC-0508
Accused Maninderjit Singh and Sourav Sharma will be produced in the Hon'ble Court and police remand will be obtained. Investigations are on and further revelations are expected.
