The trailer of the most awaited film, Shareek 2, was scheduled to be released in the first week of June. But due to the untimely demise of Punjabi artist Sidhu Mooseala, the makers have shifted the date. The film which was earlier planned to release on 24 June will now hit the theatres on 8 July.
Not only this, but the team of Shareek 2 has also unveiled the release date of the trailer. The trailer for Jimmy Shergill and Dev Kharoud’s upcoming film is scheduled for release on June 16. The film is all about action and family drama, and the poster also features a tagline, ‘Greatest Battles Are Always With Closet Ones’.
Discussing the film, apart from Jimmy and Dev, Shareek 2 also features Mahie Gill, Guggu Gill, Oshin Brar, and Mukul Dev in key roles. It has been directed by Navaniat Singh and is a sequel to the Jimmy Sheirgill-starrer 2015 release, Shareek. The film has become a fan-favourite just after its release. Now, its sequel has become one of the most anticipated Punjabi films ever.
Meanwhile, not only people in the industry but fans and close ones are affected by Sidhu’s death. The makers have postponed their projects and expressed their deep condolences to the late artist’s family.
