Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandey today reviewed performance of different development projects being taken up under district capex budget 2022-23, here at DC office complex.
The DC took a detailed sector wise review of the functioning of the departments including REW, PWD(R&B), PHE, PDD, ICDS, RDD, Agriculture, AYUSH, Health, Irrigation & Flood Control, School Education etc.
The DC took a detailed review of each sector one by one and received feedback regarding the present status of developmental works.While taking department wise review, the DC directed the concerned authorities to prioritise the completion of pending projects of the district within stipulated time.
While taking a review of the new works taken up under this year CAPEX, the DC stressed upon the concerned authorities to ensure that the process of estimation gets accomplished at the earliest besides seeking administrative approval and tendering process within set timelines.
Terming the role of all the departments more important, the DC said that all development projects taken up under CAPEX need concerted efforts from the concerned departments and special attention to pay at ground level by way of timely completion of target works.
Meanwhile, the DC also passed directions to BDOs to oversee the progress of works undertaken in their respective blocks and submit their feedback on a regular basis.The meeting was attended by ADDC Kathua, CPO, ACD, Executive Engineers, and other concerned officers of the district.
