Iti Acharya, mostly known for her work in South Films and some independent films, makes her outstanding debut at the biggest fashion capital Cannes Film Festival this year. Iti marked her debut on the red carpet with an awe-inspiring lilac gown by designer Deepti Reddy and totally owned the space with her confidence and personality.
She also participated in opening ceremony at India Pavilion at Cannes And opening ceremony of Confederation of Indian Industry, Cannes, along side other Indian celebrities like Deepika Padukone , Grammy winner Rickey Kej, AR Rahman, Prasoon Joshi, Shekhar Kapoor and posed with a lot of International Celebrities and watched Tom cruise exclusive Top Gun Maverick special screening.
Iti shares her reasons for wearing a home based brand at the Red carpet debut, "Where most of the celebrities choose to wear high end international brands, I chose a homegrown brand from North East India for my second red carpet.
I strongly believe that Indian textiles and tailoring is one of the finest in the world. I have a lot of friends in the East and this was the perfect opportunity to give them an exposure in the real world. I am really proud of what my fellow Indians are achieving and they deserve to be seen on that Red carpet."
Born in Rajasthan and worked in South Indian films for quite some time, Iti has a soft spot for India as a whole and in attempt to showcase this love, she has taken to the Global International Platform by bringing all directions of the subcontinent under one big family.
One of the Chief Guests at Cannes Short film festival held at JW MArriot, Iti even bagged coproduction and distribution deal with a US based production for her upcoming film titled Triya under Reva Shankar Productions banner.
