Yet, another great piece of news has been marking the headlines. The shooting for action-drama Rana Naidu has been completed. The web series marks the coming together of two of Indian cinema’s charismatic megastars, the nephew-uncle duo Rana Daggubati (Rana Naidu) and Venkatesh Daggubati (Venky Naidu). The shoot of the upcoming series has been mostly done in Mumbai.
In addition, the series also stars Sushant Chawla, Abhishek Banerjee, Suchitra Pillai, Surveen Chawla, Gaurav Chopra, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Rajesh Jais in key roles. The upcoming series has been directed by the duo Karan Anshuman and Suparn Verma. Rana Naidu has been produced by Aaron Sunder of Locomotive Global Inc. The series is an official adaptation of the popular American drama series 'Ray Donovan' which featured Liev Shreiber.
The format rights are licensed by ViacomCBS Global Distribution Group. The OTT series will be dubbed in multiple southern languages on release. Meanwhile, the release date of the same is not yet out but we hope the makers will not keep us waiting for too long. Also, it has been great that Surveen Chawla who has worked in Punjabi movies, and Bollywood will not be seen in the South series. Hope, Rana Naidu’s poster, trailer, and release date will be out soon.
