The Thana Sardar actor has been arrested by Civil Line Police after National Student Union of India (NSUI) president Akshay Kumar accused him of issuing threats through gangster Goldy Brar. Goldy Brar who has been accused of Punjabi Singer Sidhu Moosewala’s murder has called Akshay and given him death threats. Kartar Cheema was accused of not returning Akshay's money in a complaint filed by State President Akshay. Kartar had borrowed about 25 lakh INR from him for a film, according to him, and has been hoarding the money for more than two years. When Akshay urged Kartar to refund his money, the actor intimidated him and made Canada-based thug Goldy Brar threaten him over the phone, according to Akshay.
According to the reports, On Monday, Kumar claimed he was followed by Cheema, who pointed a firearm at him as he went to the gym on Mall Road. He claimed that this resulted in a verbal altercation, so he phoned the cops, who took the pistol away. Meanwhile, Kartar Cheema revealed that he was detained by Civil Lines while filming for a future project. Despite this, the actor was apprehended by the police after a few hours of questioning.
