Akshay Kumar who has been all set to deliver fans a lot of entertainment through the film Prithviraj soon has come up with some new details. The title of the epic drama has been changed. Yes, you read that right! Makers have now changed the name of Prithviraj to ‘Samrat Prithviraj’. After Karni Sena expressed their displeasure with the title, the producers made this move. On Friday, the producers reportedly sent a letter to the Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena's national president, youth president, and Maharashtra president informing them of their plan to rename the film Samrat Prithviraj. "We are committed to constantly creating and producing content for the enjoyment of all audiences.
"The letter further read: "We sincerely appreciate your effort in alerting us about your grievance in relation to the current title of the Film, and assure you that we did not, and do not, intend to hurt the sentiments of any person(s) or disrespect the late king and warrior, Prithviraj Chauhan."In fact, we wish to celebrate his bravery, achievements, and contribution to our nation's history, through this Film.""As per the multiple rounds of discussions between us, and to peacefully and amicably resolve the raised grievance, we will change the title of the Film to 'Samrat Prithviraj'."We are highly appreciative of the mutual agreement reached between us that you have no further objections with regards to our Film and that all other points raised by you earlier are no longer a point of contention between us. We thank Shri Rajput Karni Sena and its members for understanding our good intentions pertaining to the depiction of the great warrior in the Film."
Meanwhile, well just a couple of days before its release date, the makers have taken this move. speaking of the upcoming film Samrat Prithviraj, Akshay Kumar will star with Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, and Ashutosh Rana, among others. Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi directs the film, which also features former beauty pageant winner Manushi Chhillar. The film will be released on June 3, 2022.
