Filmmaker Karan Johar who has recently turned 50 is one of the most talked-about directors and producers of Bollywood. The prolific director-producer has had another great year around the sun and celebrated his birthday
with a big party. The top names in Bollywood rushed to social media to show their support for Karan Johar. Karan received wishes on social media from the youthful generation of Ananya Panday and Janhvi Kapoor to Vicky Kaushal and his bestie Malaika Arora.
And on the occasion of his birthday, he had shared his future professional plans. The filmmaker took to social media to announce his next directorial venture. However, he did not disclose the cast. He wrote, "Hello all, This is a note of reflection and one of immense excitement! I turn 50 today (a number that seemed like a distant nightmare), while I know it's kind of a mid-point of my life but I can't help my wannabe millennial self from existing." The filmmaker who has been rooted in the film line for the last 27 years said that he is ‘blessed to have had the best experience ever’.
He further added, "I am grateful for the brickbats, the bouquets, the praising souls, the public trolls...ALL OF IT!!! It's all been a huge part of my learning curve and self-growth.For his big announcement, Karan revealed that he would be directing an action film next, “And I will commence the shoot of my ACTION FILM in APRIL 2023. Need your blessings and love! And I have to shamelessly sign off by saying Jug Jugg Jeeyo to all of you.....My love forever, Karan Johar.”
Along with this action film’s announcement, Johar also officially revealed the release date of the most awaited film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The film is scheduled to release on 10 February 2023. Karan is excited about the release of his new film, Jugjugg Jeeyo, which stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Maniesh Paul, Varun Dhawan, and Kiara Advani. Karan will also return with his talk show, Koffee with Karan, on which he previously published photographs from the set of the OTT channel Disney+ Hotstar rather than on television.
