Karen McCrea, Political officer, North India Office and Kavleen Chatwal, Economic and political specialist, North India Office from the US Embassy new delhi visited BJP headquarters in chakkar Shimla. They were welcomed by BJP State Vice president Payal Vaidya, Secretary Pyar Singh kanwar, Treasurer Sanjay sood, Media incharge Karan Nanda, Chairman Ganesh Dutt and IT coordinator Shubhankar sood.The delegates from US met BJP State general secretary Trilok Jamwal, who warmly welcomed them by presenting Himachali Topi and Shawl.Karen McCrea and Trilok Jamwal Disccused on variou issues regarding state and BJP.They talked about the strength of the BJP in Himachal Pradesh.
Jamwal apprised that our leadership is our pride. Jagat Prakash Nadda is our National President for BJP and when he was health minister he gave aayushman bharta to india the worlds biggest health care scheme.Former chief minister Shanta Kumar is known as the chief minister for water, Pro Prem Kumar Dhumal is know as the chief minister of roads under PMGSY when Prime minister was Atal Bihari Vajpayee 51% roads were buit in himachal under this scheme.Our youth ikon Anurag Thakur now minister in union government was BJYM national president for 6 years. He has strengthened our states image on international level.Our current chief minister Jairam Thakur hails from a very poor family who resided in interior himachal and his Father was a maison. Now as chief minister he is running the best welfare government in the country. His schemes are Pro poor , when he became to chief minister his first decision was for the old age citizens under the banner of Social security pension.
Which is now helping 7 lac old age citizens above the age of 60 years.Jairam Thakur brought Grehni suvidha yojna under which Every households got a free LPG cylinder. Today himachal is a Smoke free state, there is a WHO study which says if a women works full day in the kitchen where there is no gas cylinder she takes in 209 cigrette per day.Our government has givern HIMCARE under which citizens get 5 lacs health coverage per year.He also apprised about Jan manch scheme which shows Our Government is elected by the people and is for the people.He mentioned that BJP has given a corruption free rule in centre and in State.Jamwal while Answering to questions asked by Karen McCrea said UP has a population of 23 crore where we made history by repeating the government, Utrakhand a state having our topography we repeated the government there , goa we won thrice and manipur we made the government for the first time. India is in favour of Prime minister Narendra Modi and BJP.He said Congress has come down to 44 MP's in the country and has government in only 2 states.
After one years congress will be whipped out of the country.Congress only belives in dynasty system and their selection of leaders is not on merit, himachal is a perfect example for the same.He mentioned that Himachal is a veer bhumi and dev bhumi , land of gods and goddesses.World oldest dynasty exists here in malana, kullu.It is our great fortune that Every third person in rural area is serving our country as an armyman.He said BJP will fight election on the image of our government and our chief minister Jairam Thakur who is simple , down to earth and honest.Our leadership has given himachal AIIMS, when we compare this achievement with UP a state with a population of 23 crore which has one AIIMS . We with a population with of 71 lac were gifted with AIIMS by our National leadership.The Initiation of AIIMS and completion are both done by our government.In our 12 district we have 6 medical College out of which 4 were given by BJP.Former Prime minister and bharat ratan Atal Bihari Vajpayee gave industrial area and industrial package to himachal, which congress took away.
Our industrial area is well known in Asia and soon our state will have a bulk drug park.We are uplifting Tourism sector. Thus giving big employment opportunities to the youth.He said China tried to take indian borders under their possession but due to our strong leadership in the centre China has failed to do the same. Since then Himachal has also closed down trade with China. Today China has realised that india is not a weak country.He also said JP nadda has adopted 3 villages in himachal and Our villages are adopted by all our MP's For the development rural area. This experiment is a success on ground.Karen McCrea mentioned that USA has appreciated the himachal government for the help given to the Tibet government in exile and Dalai Lama. Himachal has done a lot for tibet government which USA has appreciated.Jamwal said himachal never intervens in Tibet government and we also help them with their elections too, we have cordial relations with them.
