M-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar conducted a surprise check of Sakhi One Stop Center, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar today.He also checked the case registers of women victims of violence who have been provided counseling and shelter for treatment, legal aid and mental relief by the Center and expressed satisfaction.
He further asked the Setter in-charge Madam Manjit Kaur to immediately call the office of District Legal Services Authority, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar to any victim woman who comes to the Sakhi One Stop Setter for help who needs free legal aid or the services of a lawyer. Asked to send to He said that people should be made more aware about the facilities being provided by Sakhi One Stop to the women victims of violence so that they could avail the facilities available from this setter in times of need. He said that only if there was awareness among the general public then the needy women would be able to avail the benefits of this Sakhi One Center.
