Dildariyaan was the first story that turned into a feature film.
It has been inspired by Shahrukh Khan and Kajol’s Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. In the film, both SRK and Kajol met coincidentally in foreign and Dildariyaaan pursued an almost similar story.
The film was supposed to be produced and acted by Pollywood queen Neeru Bajwa, but her marriage date clashed with the shoot scheduled. So, the idea of casting Neeru has dropped out.
Jagdeep revealed that he was a fan of Jesleen Slaich. So, he planned to write a cameo role in this film for Jesleen. And he proved to be a true admirer as he cast Jasleen in the film.
If you’ve watched Qismat 2, then you must be aware of a heart-breaking dialogue “assi munde ona nu dost kehne aa jina nu sari umar ni chhadna hunda ... tusi kudiya ona nu dost kehni o jinu chhadna hunda aa”. This dialogue was supposed to be a part of Dildariyaan but due to some prior reasons, he had to eliminate it from the movie.
As Neeru has chosen to leave the film, it was very difficult for Jagdeep to search for a female lead. Though Jassie Gill was his first choice, her opposition took time. And during Sidhu’s hunt, he saw a post of Neeru in which he saw Sagrika Ghatge, so he opted to cast her. And boom! We saw them together and it was a pleasure for the audience.
While everyone thinks that Jagdeep released his films in September from Nikka Zaildar, it’s not true. He reveals that this journey and love for September begins from Dildariyaan.
During his struggle days, Jagdeep once revealed that he didn't pay the whole amount of his work but now he discloses that in this film, he received the full fees.
