Tarsame Singh Saini who goes by the stage name Taz Stereo Nation has recently passed away. The industry has lost a gem that can never be replaced. The 56-years-old was not only a Punjabi singer but a British singer of Indian descent. Moreover, the cause of Taz Nation’s death hasn’t been disclosed, it was previously revealed that he had come out of a coma. Further, the heartbreaking news has been shared by Film producer Gurinder Chaddha.She shared a picture of herself with Taz and wrote, “Heartbroken to hear that a pioneer of the British Asian music scene has just left us. You cannot underestimate my excitement on first hearing #HitTheDeck. By #jonnyZee then @tazstereonation pure Br’Asian pop fusion. for all the joy you gave me Taz God Bless you @tazstereonation.”
The family has earlier disclosed in a statement that it has been recovering and is out of coma. The statement reads, “Taz Sir is no longer in coma, He's showing improvements every day. The family has thanked everyone for their support and prayers during this difficult time. When there is more postive news, The family will let us all know. Thanks again for your postive thoughts”.
Speaking of the late artist Taz, he was the lead singer of the band Stereo Nation which was formed in 1996. Also, his debut album Hit the Deck, topped the UK Asian pop chart for 36 weeks in 1989. He has made to music charts with many hit songs like Pyar Ho Gaya, Nachenge Saari Raat and Gallan Gorian. Taz also won the Best International Artist Award at the UK Asian Music Awards in 2005.
