Two years ago, we lost a legendary artist of Bollywood aka Irrfan Khan. His tragic death left fans and the industry in shock. On April 29, 2020, Irrfan Khan died following a long battle with cancer. The actor has delivered amazing and commendable content to the audience. Irrespective of the genre, the actor owned each role he chose to portray. His roles were invested with an honesty that was arresting if not unsettling, making him a legend for the ages.  And now on Irrfan Khan's second death anniversary, we have prepared a list of five of his best movies that you can watch on OTT platforms to memorialise the superstar.

List Of 5 Movies Of Irrfan Khan You Can Watch Online

The Lunchbox - Amazon Prime Video

The Lunchbox was not only a resonating film, but also a masterclass in acting. The story, for one, was a breath of fresh air. The film features Irrfan Khan and Nimrat Kaur in which one can see that the duo had been communicating with each other via letters in a tiffin box. The former had lost his wife and the latter was stuck in an unhappy marriage with a daughter to look after. The two never met, but their relationship was full of understanding and empathy for each other. The evolution of Irrfan’s equation with Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who plays his junior at work, is like watching the magic unfold in front of your eyes.

Paan Singh Tomar - Netflix

Paan Singh Tomar depicts the story of the drastic things a terrible society can drive an individual to do. Irrfan Khan plays the acclaimed character in which his athletic abilities are brought to everyone’s attention while he’s training to be a soldier in the Indian Army. He amazed the officials by garnering gold medals at the Indian National Games seven times in a row. The system pulls him down into the shoes of a dacoit by killing his mother, instead of appreciating him for his achievements.

Hindi medium - Disney + Hotstar

Raj (Irrfan Khan) and Mita Batra (Saba Qamar) yearn to get Pia, their daughter, educated in a posh school. When they learn that their background is holding her back, they are willing to go to any lengths to change her fate. Though everyone has the right to education, but the film sheds light on realities that restrict people from accessing the knowledge they seek to achieve their dreams.

Madaaari - ZEE 5

Nirmal (Irrfan Khan) a man who lost his son due to the carelessness of the government, seeks revenge and kidnaps the ten-year-old son of the home minister. He then forced the administration to meet his demands. The powerful performance of Khan will force you to not even blink your eyes in between. It's a highly recommended film.

D-Day - Amazon Prime Video

Intelligence officer Wali Khan (Irrfan Khan) and a team of highly-trained officers are set to nab Goldman (Rishi Kapoor), one of India's most wanted terrorists. However, their mission is threatened by a minor miscalculation. The film is packed with legendary artists and legendary performances.

You can watch these movies on digital platforms. If you have already watched it then, then you can surely relieve your memories by watching it again.
