Max Verstappen, the Formula One champion, on Sunday at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix clinched the Red Bull rout of Ferrari. Marking his second win of the season lagging behind Sergio Peres, his teammate, it was the first one-two RedBull finish since Malaysia in 2016. He covered the fastest lap from the pole, which was quite thrilling to watch. The 24 year old conquered the highest points on the weekend post winning the sprint qualifying race on Saturday.

Earlier he gave his verdict after suffering a second retirement in three races on Sunday, with the Australian Grand Prix leaving him a massive 46 points behind Ferrari's dominant winner Charles Leclerc.Max Verstappen says two things need to happen for him to have a chance of successfully defending his Formula One title and Red Bull are not managing to do either at the moment. “Two things need to happen for him to have a chance of successfully defining his Formula One title and Red Bull are not managing to do either at the moment and we are already so far down in the championship that from now onwards, basically you first need to be faster than them (Ferrari), which we're not, and zero problems with the car which we also don't have," said Verstappen.
