Filmmaker Vivek took to his Twitter earlier today and wrote, "I thank all the people who owned #TheKashmirFiles. For last 4 yrs we worked very hard with utmost honesty & sincerity. It’s time for me to work on a new film." after this he tweeted and announced the name of his next project. Take a look below:
Speaking of the former release, The Kashmir Files has a touching storyline and powerful performances that left the audience and critics floored. The film is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus in the 1990s. It starred Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, and Pallavi Joshi in pivotal roles. It emerged as one of the most successful post-pandemic movies to release in India. But apart from its success, the movie has faced some controversy.
It sparked a debate among political parties after a few BJP-ruled states, including Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat, gave it relief from entertainment tax. Moreover, The Kashmir Files or The Delhi Files are not only two films based on brutal history, but the filmmaker has also directed The Tashkent Files based on the mysterious death of former prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri in 1966. His other film credits include Chocolate and erotic thrillers Hate Story and Zid. Now, viewers are waiting for The Delhi Files to release soon so that they can again witness the strong performances of actors and know the history in detail.
