Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab has once again given a big blow to the Akali Dal. On Monday, Sohan Singh Khokhar, former district vice president of Shiromani Akali Dal in Ludhiana, joined the Aam Aadmi Party, in the presence of AAP's Punjab affairs in-charge Jarnail Singh and spokesperson Malwinder Singh Kang.Sohan Singh Khokhar has been the district president of Akali Dal from Ludhiana and has also contested the election of Shiromani Committee for SAD. Apart from this, he has also been a member of the State Level Working Committee of the party. Khokhar is presently the President of Ludhiana District Court Welfare Association and Numberdar Union Ludhiana. Along with him, Advocate Amarjit Singh Longia, former president of the Bar Association of Mohali district court, also joined AAP. Longia has been the President of Bar Association for 7 times. With Advocate Amarjit Singh Longia, "Know the Neighbor Association" Mohali Phase-4 President Advocate Preetpal Singh Bassi, Advocate Jarnail Singh, Advocate Gurpreet Singh, Advocate Rohit Garg, Advocate Ranjot Singh Sandhu, Advocate Reet Kamal Handa, Advocate Rohit Kumar, Advocate Parminder Singh and Advocate Jasmeet Sarwara joined AAP.

After joining Aam Aadmi Party, Sohan Singh Khokhar said that the people of Punjab are fed up with the corrupt policies of Akali Dal. In the party, its own people and workers are being ignored and outsiders are being given importance.Targeting the Congress, Jarnail Singh said that the Congress's decision to make Channi as CM candidate is not being liked by their own leaders. The people of Punjab already want to get rid of the Congress, but since the Congress has declared Channi as the CM candidate, the party leaders are also disappointed and they have already accepted their defeat before the elections.Reacting to the statement of CM Channi of not taking property in his and wife's name, Jarnail Singh said that in 4 months, the Chief Minister who collected crores of rupees with the help of his relatives, is saying this. Crores of rupees, luxury vehicles and land property papers worth billions of rupees found in the ED raid on Channi's nephew's house are proof of loot of tax money of the people of Punjab. The AAP leader said that the people of Punjab want change this time. People have made up their mind to form the Aam Aadmi Party government by pressing the ‘Jharoo’ button.
