In order to take first hand appraisal of the facilities being provided to the patients and taking stock of the overall functioning of health institutions to provide qualitative health care services, a surprise inspection of Government Medical College Baramulla was today conducted by Chairperson, District Development Council Baramulla, Safeena Beigh along with other concerned functionaries of the district.In an extensive inspection, the Chairperson DDC inspected various sections of the hospital including OPD, IPD, Emergency, Casualty, CT Scan and other wards.She also interacted with attendants and patients and enquired about the health services being provided by the Hospital administration.

On the occasion, the Chairperson DDC directed the concerned authorities to ensure that all the required medicare and other necessary facilities are provided effectively and efficiently to the patients without any fail.While interacting with the Doctors and Para-Medical staff on duty, the Chairperson exhorted them to perform their duties with added zeal and passion to serve the public. She asked them to ensure availability of Medical and Para-Medical staff strictly as per the devised roster so that patients do not face any difficulty.The Chairperson also said that such an exercise will continue to instil regularity and discipline in government institutions for effective public service delivery.
