DC Kupwara reviews progress under NTEP

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today convened a meeting of District Tuberculosis Forum committee to review the progress under National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) in the district.The meeting was informed that 523687 persons have been screened in all 10 medical blocks of the district from December last year, of which 12539 samples have been collected so far.It was also informed that 45090 persons have been screened under Active Case Finding during the last year, of which 1972 have been examined.It was further informed in the meeting that 377 patients are currently on treatment in the district who are undergoing regular health checkups for their proper treatment.On the occasion, the DC impressed upon all the members to work with better coordination to ensure cent percent elimination of Tuberculosis disease from the district. CMO Kupwara, DTO, DHO, ACP and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
