First randomisation to deploy manpower for the ensuing Vidhan Sabha elections

The district administration today conducted the first randomisation to deploy manpower for the ensuing Vidhan Sabha elections in the presence of officials of the district administration at the District Administrative Complex here. The first randomisation was done in the presence of District Returning Office-cum-Deputy Commissioner Ms. Sonali Giri, Sri Rajeev Kapoor DSM PLRS, Sri Yogesh Kumar DIO Rupnagar and Tehsildar Election Mr. Amandeep Singh.

During the randomisation, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer said that employees from the Centre and state government, banks and public sector undertakings would be assigned several duties during the poll.She said as per need, the services of the employees would be used for polling. She said the randomisation was aimed at assigning duties to the Polling staff in the days to come.The DC said in the first randomisation 3176 polling personnel deployed for their first training on 20-01-2022 at assembly constituencies wise venues (govt sr sec school girls sri anandpur sahib for 49 sri anandpur sahib, government college rupnagar for 50 rupnagar and amar shaheed baba ajit singh baba jujhar singh memorial college bela for 51-sri chamkaur sahib) of the district.
