No village is complete without a panchayat ghar as Panchayat is the first organisation that looks into the small and big matters concerning every village thus Cabinet Minister Gurkirat Singh inaugurated the panchayat ghar in Bija village of Khanna constituency here today.Similarly, playgrounds hold a significance where a good infrastructure is concerned that became a reality with Gurkirat Singh inaugurating one in Bija village.Khanna Block Samiti Chairman Satnam Singh Soni while speaking at the occasion said that every effort made by the Cabinet Minister to upgrade the villages in Khanna constituency are genuine and resulted oriented.
The minister also initiated a project for renovating the premises and for making a badminton ground of the government school in Bija village.The villagers lauded the efforts of the cabinet minister Gurkirat Singh who in his address thanked the residents and office bearers of various organisations for extending their unequivocal support to him.Chairman Beant Singh Jassi President Block Congress Khanna, Smt. Harbans Kaur member Zila Parishad Ludhiana and Capt Sukhraj Singh Sarpanch were also present at the occasion.
