Keeping up his promise with the people of Khanna to work towards overall development, Cabinet Minister Gurkirat Singh expedited the grant process for various schools and other organisations.District Development and Panchayat Officer Khanna sent a letter along with the demand drafts to the Block Development and Panchayat Officer instructing them to distribute the same at the earliest.DDPO office clearly stated that the receipt of every draft should be sent back to the DDPO along with signatures of the recipients.The details of the drafts given to the schools and other organisations include Bhagwan Valmiki Bhagwan Dr. Ambedkar Youth Welfare Society Khanna was given a draft worth Rs 10 lakh, Planet E School Samrala Road Khanna was give Rs 2 lakh while Sarpanch Gram Panchayat Rohno Kalan was given the draft for Rs 7 lakh followed by Government Primary School Bhattian which was given Rs 5 lakh. Similarly, Punjab Khatri Chetna Manch was given RS 5 lakh, Atam Manohar Jain Senior Secondary School Khanna was given Rs 5 lakh, AS Senior Secondary School khanna was given Rs 7 lakh, Guru Ravidas Kalyan Samiti Khanna was given Rs 2 lakh, Mahant Ganga Puri Badhir Vidyalaya Khanna was given Rs 10 lakh while Shri Vishkarma Educational Welfare Sabha was given Rs 10 lakh followed by are Rs 4.65 lakh to Sarpanch Gram Panchayat Taunsa.
