Chandigarh Law College, Jhanjeri, a legal institution par excellence under Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri celebrated Constitution Day 2021 . Arun Gupta, District and Session Judge, Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar was Chief Guest and Guest of Honour was Baljinder Singh, CJM cum Secretary , District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar.At the moment Legal Aid Clinic was inaugurated by Chief Guest Arun Gupta and[h1] Guest of Honour Baljinder Singh .The aim of this clinic is to provide much needed legal information to one and all. Free service will be provided to community by the organization and it will also be engaged in other philanthropic activities.
Students took active participation in various events organized on this day and exhibited their patriotism toward mother India. The events organized for students included Slogan Writing Competition, Declamation Contest and Poster Making Competition.Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Arun Gupta highlighted the importance of Constitution and enlightened the students on various facets of Indian Constitution. An elaborate explanation was given on the inter-relation between Constitution and Legal Service Authority. He also offered to appoint students as para-legal volunteers during their first year itself. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC He said at the moment that Constitution Day is a historic day for India as the Constitution of the country was adopted by Legislative assembly on this day back in 1949.
