To sensitize masses about the newly launched Land Record Information System (LRIS) “Aapki Zameen Aapki Nigrani”, the District Administration Kulgam today organised a day long awareness programme for PRI members and people at Mini-Secretariat, here.During the awareness programme, the people were sensitized through live demonstration about how Public users can search and view copies of Scanned data online on CIS Portal- http://landrecords.jk.gov.in/ which includes Jamabandis, Girdawaris, Masavis and Mutations etc.Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat said that the initiative has put the revenue records in public domain and has also facilitated easy online access to the Land Records besides making easy to register grievances, if any.He added that people can also get the print out of their land records via this portal and urged PRI members to propagate information regarding this portal among the people so that they can access their Land Records.The DC informed that the District Administration has established more than 272 facility centers/ Nodal points across the district to facilitate people to access their Land Records.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Showkat Ahmad Rather while speaking on the occassion said that the sole aim of this programme is to make revenue records accurate and transparent besides accessible.Highlighting the significance of this portal, the Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Kulgam, Mir Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz said that this is a unique initiative of Goverment under  Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) and the district has achieved an important milestone to provide the most transparent and accountable services to the common masses. He also added that more than 3380 books/ revenue documents with more than 5, 34,750 pages have been scanned in the district and are available on the said portal.The programme was attended by DDC,Chairperson, Mohd Afzal Parrey, VC Chairperson, Shazia Jan and other DDC members, BDCs and Sarpanches besides, a good number of people of the district also attended this sensitization programme.Among others ADDC, ADC, ACR, SDM Noorabad, ACP, ACD, JD-Planning, Tehsildars and other Officers were present during this programme.
