Bikram Singh Majithia, Revenue Minister, Punjab today said that the Punjab Government is firmed to fulfill the overall development dream of slain Senior Akali Leader Captain Kanwaljit Singh.

Paying warm tribute to Captain Kanwaljit Singh on his third death anniversary at Gurudwara in Sector 8, Mr. Majithia said that Shiromani Akali Dal would always remember the significant role played by him for the promotion and strengthening of Party at grass root level. He said that people of Punjab has taught a lesson to those, who were opposing the interest of the state by criticizing SAD-BJP coalition but the ruling combine was missing such a huge political personality at this historic political change in Punjab. 

Praising the hard work done by Mr. Jasjeet Singh Bunny, son of Captain Kanwaljit Singh, during Vidhan Sabha polls for the victory of party candidates, Mr. Majithia said that Mr. Bunny has a lot of political caliber and SAD was firmed that he would also serve the party following the footsteps of Capt Kanwaljit Singh. He said that the residents of Ajitgarh District would never forget the role of Capt Singh in the development of this district and now the Punjab government would paid its full attention to make the continuity of development of Ajitgarh on priority basis.

Speaking on this occasion MLA from Dera Bassi Mr. N.K. Sharma said that Captain Kanwaljit Singh was the person, who brought him to the Politics and the credit for his current political position goes to Mr. Singh. He said that he learned lot of political technicalities from the vast political experience of Mr. Singh.

Prominent amongst those present on the occasion were included Mr. Harmeet Singh Sandhu, MLA, Vardev Singh Mann, Jathedar Ujagar Singh Wadali, SGPC members Surjit Singh Garhi, Jasmer Singh Lathru and Nirmal Singh Jaula Kalan besides Mr. Hari Singh Tohra, President Punjab State Employee Federation, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Saini, state awardee, Mr. Kashmir Singh Mavi, Mr. Jaspinder Singh Lally, President Youth Akali Dal, District Mohali Rural, Bibi Kuldeep Kaur Kang, President Istri Akali Dal, Mohali, Mr. Parmjeet Singh Kahlon and Gurkirat Singh Thoohi, Former Political Advisor of Captain Kanwaljit Singh.
