As part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ campaign, the District Information Centre (DIC) Shopian in collaboration with District Administration and Health Department, Shopian today continued its awareness campaign to sensitize the common masses about the Covid -19 Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) and related SOPs through announcements in Shopian town and at various markets.Speaking on the occasion, the District Information Officer (DIO) Shopian, Showkat Ahmed Khan said that the main objective of organising this awareness campaign is to generate awareness among the masses about Covid-19 Appropriate Behaviour to save the precious lives. He also advised the masses to protect themselves, family as well as others from corona virus infection by strictly adhering to CAB and SOPs. He urged the public to wear masks, maintain social distance, wash hands with soap frequently, not to venture unnecessarily out of their homes besides undertake vaccination at nearest vaccination centres as these are the only effective tools for combating the resurgence of Covid infection.He also emphasised not to give ear to rumours but get themselves vaccinated at an earliest.
