Under the special drive initiated by Hoshiarpur Police against anti-national actors, 6 were apprehended and 4 FIRs were registered against them. 7 pistols, 38 cartridges, 100gm heroin, 24 injections, a swift car and INR 40000 were recovered from them.As per directions of SSP Hoshiarpur Sh. Navjot Singh Mahal, a special drive was initiated under supervision of SP Investigation Sh. Ravinderpal Sandhu, Sh. Rakesh Kumar DySP investigation. The teams got success when Sh. Gurpreet Singh DySP Headquarters and Ins. Bickram Singh SHO Tanda apprehended Jaswinder Singh @ Jassi s/o harpalsingh r/o Preetnagar, fatehgarhchurian road, PS Sadar, Amritsar Rural. 2 pistols, 18 live cartridges, 3 magazines were recovered from him and an FIR no. 150 dated 27-06-2021 u/s 25 Arms act was registered at PS tanda. It was later found out that Jaswindersingh already has 2 murder cases and 1 case of theft registered against him at Amritsar Rural and he is currently on bail. The accused has murdered MaviDhawan at Amritsar and since then he was absconding.
Under the special drive, Sh. Tushar Gupta ASP Garhshankar, Ins Iqbal singh SHO Garhshankar apprehend Satnam Singh @ Kaka s/o Bujjha r/o donowalkhurd, PS Garhshankar. 1 countrymade pistol, 5 live cartridges, 24 injections and INR 40,000 were recovered from him. An FIR no. 88 u/s 26.06.2021 u/s 22C NDPS act and 25 Arms act was registered against him.During the special drive, Ins Shiv Kumar I/C CIA Hoshiarpur apprehended Shahbaaz Singh @ Sahu s/o Sarabjitsingh r/o new fatehgarh, PS Model town, hoshiarpur. 3 pistols, 10 cartridges were recovered from him and an FIR no. 155 dated 24.06.2021 u/s 25 Arms act was registered against him at PS Model town hoshiarpur. Furthermore on 19-06-2021, Gurbachansingh s/o jeetsingh r/o dograwalasubhanpur, kapurthala, lakhwindersingh s/o sewasingh r/o fullranbhainimiyan khan, Gurdaspur, harwindersingh s/o jarnailsingh r/o dograwalasubhanpur, kapurthala were arrested near T-point SandranSodhian. 100 gm heroin, 1 pistol, 5 cartridges, a swift desire car were recovered from them and an FIR no. 95 dated 19-06-2021 u/s 21 NDPS act, 25 arms act was registered against them at PS Bullowal.

Recovery made:
1. 2 pistols, 18 live cartridges, 3 magazines.
2. 1 countrymade pistol, 5 live cartridges, 24 injections and INR 40,000.
3. 3 pistols, 10 cartridges.
4. 100 gm heroin, 1 pistol, 5 cartridges, a swift desire car.
All the cases are being investigated thoroughly to unearth forward and backward linkages.
