Working under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner-cum President Girish Dayalan, the Indian Red Cross Society, District Branch, SAS Nagar installed two Medical Oxygen Supply Systems of 45 LPM capacity at Civil Hospital, phase 6 Mohali. The Society received funds amounting to Rs.40,00,000/- under CSR from M/S Sonalika Social Development Society Hoshiarpur, Punjab.The installed Oxygen Supply Systems are specially designed and developed to supply oxygen in medical facilities following strict quality guidelines. These systems meet global quality standards and provide purity of 93% to 95%. Such setup enables continuous, reliable and cost-effective supply for mobile and static medicine.Deputy Commissioner appreciated the generous donation made by M/s Sonalika Social Development Society and said that it will go a long way in providing relief to COVID19 patients.Second wave of COVID - 19 clearly highlighted the need to equip health institutions with medical oxygen production and delivery capability. District administration is trying its best to ensure requisite supply of medical oxygen in consonance with expected demand during the pandemic times. Some modern methods, such as on-site medical oxygen production using oxygen generators, are being experimented
