In a day long visit and continuing public outreach programme, DDC Vice Chairman Shopian along with some party activists visited several villages of Shopian including Potarwal, Nazneenpora, Nosipora, Chak Haji, Chak Bakir, Panzer etc. He met several public delegations, civil society members, Sikh community at Panzer and took first-hand report of their grievances and the pace of ongoing development work. People shared their problems related to road, power, water etc. He took some on spot decisions to mitigate the sufferings of general public and assured them that all possible help will be extended to fast track the much needed development work in their respective areas. Manhas also interacted with local youth at couple of playgrounds. They highlighted the problems faced by them and demanded that sports and relates infrastructure should be given priority in the development process. "We have a huge talent in the district but unfortunately we lack platform to showcase the same at National and International levels", said one of the youth. DDC Vice Chairman Irfan Manhas assured the youth that he will put all the efforts and will make sure the much needed modern art sports infrastructure in the district is available to them. This will pave way to come up with gems who will represent us in National and International events and bring laurels to our district, he said. While interacting with the media he said,  "Reaching out to every soul in the district and extending the helping hand is my mission". He thanked the people for their love and support on the ground during these public outreach programmes and reiterated his commitment towards the welfare of the people of District Shopian.
