The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress for establishment of Covid Care Centres (CCCs) across all panchayats of the district.The DC stressed upon the concerned officers to work with greater coordination and dedication to ensure successful establishment of Covid Care Centres in all 385 panchayats of the district so that the pandemic can be contained at local level as well.The meeting held threadbare discussion regarding establishment of Covid Care Centres in all 385 panchayats of the district. It was informed in the meeting that various buildings have been identified ranging from Panchayat Ghar to Health Centre and Schools for housing the Covid Care Centres across the district. It was also informed that online training has been given to the Sarpanchs and Panchayat Secretaries for smooth working of the Covid Care Centres. Besides it was given out in the meeting that BMOs and BDOs shall provide all necessary medical and logistic support to their concerned Covid Care Centres.Regarding manpower, it was informed that a committee has been formulated at panchayat level with Sarpanch as its Chairman under whom one Anganwadi Worker, Asha Worker and a Teacher have been deployed to run the Centre smoothly. Besides, one doctor has also been linked with the Centre for necessary medical care.Additional District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone; District Panchayat Officer, Block Development Officers, Block Medical Officers and other concerned attended the meeting.
