Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh held a virtual interaction with the objective of mobilizing the younger generation under Mission Fateh 2.0. The Chief Minister said that the youth should be engaged more in the awareness campaign regarding Covid. He said that people from all walks of life in Punjab would have to work together for the second wave of Coronavirus. Forests, Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Minister Mr. Sadhu Singh Dharamsot said that the state government is doing everything possible to provide relief to the people of Punjab from the Corona pandemic. He said that the youth should form 7-member teams at each village level to motivate the people around them for vaccination and should be there to help the poor and needy in every possible way. He reiterated that there was an urgent need to sensitize the youth on a large scale to stay safe from the pandemic by being a part of the Mission Fateh campaign.
Cabinet Minister Mr. Dharamsot said that during the first wave of Corona, the state had taken timely steps to protect the health of the people whereas the state government had taken important steps to curb the pandemic with the cooperation of the people. He said that today it was necessary for the people to take the precautions issued by the state government and health department seriously to eradicate the second wave. He said that the Punjab government had set up two control rooms during the difficult times of Covid, one of which was ensuring the availability of oxygen and the other control room was functioning for the availability of beds in different hospitals.
