In the wake of Covid-19 pandemic, Sanitizers and masks were today distributed by the Markfed Club to the employees of Markfed at its headquarters here today.Lauding the efforts, MD Markfed Varun Roojam said that the employees of the Asia’s largest cooperative sector has always been in the forefront to serve the people and now, in the tough times of Covid-19, it is providing essential services to the people of the state. Markfed has now taken the lead in transporting medical oxygen. "At the same time, the safety of the employees also assumes great importance and it is in this context that the for novel as well as noble initiative of the Markfed Club must be viewed", said the MD.President, Markfed Union Mr. Ish Vadera on the occasion said that this club was established in the year 2000 for the welfare of employees and it specializes in education, social and cultural work.On the occasion, the General Secretary of the Club Mr. Virender Pal Singh and Finance Secretary Mr. SK Bassi also conveyed the message that all the Markfed employees and their employees should be vaccinated. They also exhorted all to obey physical distancing norms, use masks and get themselves vaccinated as per government guidelines to avoid Covid.Chief Manager Mr. HS Bains, Chief Accounts Officer Mr. Pankaj Kansal and Manager Mr. Sant Sharan Singh were also present on the occasion.
