With concerted efforts of District Administration and Health Teams, the local Ram Colony Camp has also become a village with 100 percent vaccination of eligible beneficiaries on Sunday, where the Industries and Commerce Minister personally visited to appreciate the Panchayat, villagers and health team for completing the task. Lauding the panchayats got their villages 100 percent vaccinated, Industries and Commerce Minister Sunder Sham Arora also appealed the other ones in the district to have all eligible beneficiaries inoculated at the earliest in larger public interest. The Minister also interacted with villagers and medical team regarding vaccination emphasising that strict adoption of Covid Appropriate Behaviour and vaccination could only keep the virus at bay. He stated that Chief Minister’s Captain Amarinder Singh’s announcement of Rs. 10 lakh as special grants to villages with 100 percent vaccination is highly commendable, which would keep the villagers healthy on one hand and give impetus to development works on the others.It is high time to adopt all health and safety protocols so that the further spread of deadly virus could be contained efficaciously, said the Minister adding that Punjab Government is stand by its people in this difficult time. He reiterated that the Mission Fateh-2 will be a great success with support and cooperation of public especially in the rural areas facing surge in cases. He appealed the people not to complacent in putting all measures at place including wearing masks properly, washing hands frequently, maintaining social distance besides strictly avoiding the unnecessary stepping out of homes and joining gatherings in these days.
