The controversy on the acceptance of Rs 2 crore by the DGSM committee from Amitabh Bachchan is not going to cool down.Karnail Singh Peermohammad, Patron of All India Sikh Students Federation on Friday questioned Sirsa if he did not know whether Bachachan was responsible for the Sikh-Genocide in Delhi in 1984, then it is in a way an attempt to fool the Sikh community.“You made a mistake by accepting Rs 2 crore from Amitabh Bachchan by specially highlighting his donation on social media. You should admit your mistake openly and as Bachchan is responsible for instigating Sikh genocide in 1984, we do not need his money and you should apologize to the Sikh community for your sin,” said Karnail Singh Peermohammad, Patron of AISSF in a press statement today.Peermohammad came down heavily on Sirsa saying that several people might be giving donations to DSGMC, but he has not specially spoken about such people.“It is right if any donor donates any type of required material, machinery or money, but we shall not accept anything from the people who led or instigated the mob to kill thousands of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and at other places,” he said.“If people like Sajjan Kumar, Jagdish Tytlar or Kamal Nath come up with such donations, We shall not accept those. You have accepted Rs 2 crore from Bachchan Trust, will you accept the donations from these accused as well? Peermohammad questioned Sirsa.Even Manjinder Singh Sirsa long ago in his past tweets blamed Amitabh Bachan for the genocide of Sikhs and today he accepted the donations from the same accused.
Though Amitabh Bachan clarified that he has donated not only Rs 2 Crore but also Rs 10 Crore to the Gurdwaras under Delhi. When and why have donations been accepted from the killers of Sikhs? Peermohammad asked Sirsa. He further asked Bachchan to show the live footage of the Doordarshan which was live streaming the cremation of Indira Gandhi after her assasination prove his innocence that you did not utter a dialogue against Sikh community.“If you are innocent, you should show the Sikh community the part of the above footage in which you allegedly uttred the dialogue instigating mob to kill the Sikhs. Jagdish Tytler had submitted a footage in Karkardooma court in his defence that he was standing by Bachchan and Rajiv Gandhi. But due to your utterances, the sound of the footage was muted,"said Peermohammad."I had also submitted some proofs against Bachchan to Singh Sahib Gyani Gurbachan Singh about 9 years back and demanded an action from the Akal Takhat accusing that Big B’s utterances were against the community," said Peermohammad. In Video message on social media, Sirsa has however clarified that it was his mistake to take to twitter handle about Rs 2 crore donation by Bachchan.“I am sorry for that. But I unintentionally used the same words uttered by Amitabh Bachchan on twitter,” Sirsa has said.Peermohamamd had specifically termed his highlighting the donation to the media as unfortunate and hurting the feelings of Sikh community.“we appreciate all the good deeds done by you. You have done very good work legally helping the protesters against farm laws getting them bails and you also hear us and help the people in need. But this your gross mistake which we condemn,” Peermohammad said.Peermohammad also expressed his condolences to the family of AAP leader Jarnail Singh who passed away fighting the Covid-19.“He was a great journalist, leader and social activist. His untimely death has led a blow to the Sikh community as he was the survivor of Sikh genocide in Delhi. He helped the people affected the genocide and also wrote a book laying bare many aspects of Delhi riots. So I am sorry from the bottom of my heart on his sad demise and express my heartiest condolences to the family of the deceased,” Peermohammad said.
