Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today expressed his condolences with the family members of MP Ram Swaroop Sharma by visiting his native village Jalpahar near Jogindernagar in Mandi district. He prayed to the almighty to give peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss.The Chief Minister also attended the last rites of the MP. He was cremated with full state honour at Machhayal where the Chief Minister paid him tributes.Jai Ram Thakur said that untimely death of Ram Swaroop Sharma was not only a big loss for Mandi parliamentary constituency but also for Himachal Pradesh and Bhartiya Janta party. He would always be remembered for his humbleness, simplicity and dedication.Former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, Jal Shakti Minister Mahender Singh Thakur, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Sarveen Chaudhary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Rajinder Garg, MP and BJP State President Suresh Kashyap, MP Kishan Kapoor, MLA Vinod Kumar, Hira Lal, Jawahar Thakur and Prakash Rana, Vice Chairman of the State Finance Commission Satpal Singh Satti, Milk Federation Chairman Nihal Chand Sharma, Sainik Welfare Board Chairman Kushal Thakur, State BJP Vice President Ram Singh, Chairperson, HP Child Welfare Council Payal Vaidya, Zila Parishad President Pal Verma, Former Ministers Gulab Singh Thakur and Kaul Singh Thakur, former MLA Ram Singh, Congress General Secretary Ashray Sharma, former National President of ABVP Nagesh Thakur, officer bearers of the state BJP and Congress committee, officials of various organizations like RSS and ABVP, Vishwa Hindu Parishad also attended the funeral.
