Team of Agriculture Depatment of district Rupnagar today handed over the national award bagged by the distrcit for the effective implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to the deputy commissioner Mrs. Sonali Giri.Visually ecstatic Mrs. Sonali Giri showered high words of praise upon the Agriculture Department's team headed by Mr. Avtar Singh, Chief Agriculture Officer. She said that the relentless efforts of the district agriculture team made us proud and won laurals for the state at the national level.It is pertinent to mention here that Rupnagar district got first position in the country in the effective implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana which completes two years on February 24. Mr. Narinder Singh Tomar, Union Agriculture Minister conferred the award in this regard to Rupnagar district in a function organised in New Delhi.
