Janani Suraksha Yojana: DC Kathua releases evaluation study of two medical blocks

Deputy Commissioner, Kathua. Om Prakash today released Evaluation Study on Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) of Nagri and Billawar medical blocks of the district conducted by District Statistics & Evaluation Office, here at DC Office Complex.District Statistics & Evaluation Officer (DSEO), Ranjeet Thakur, DIO, NIC Sourab Bhandari and other staff members of DSEO Office were present during the release Ceremony.As per District Statistical and Evaluation Officer, the data was collected from 512 beneficiaries and 20 Knowledgeable/Prominent persons and Asha Workers of the twin blocks, by conducting door to door survey.While releasing the study, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of all the staff members of DSEO Office Kathua, who were involved in conducting and finalizing the said study.The DC highlighted the findings of the study and pointed out the suggestions/recommendations for consideration for the  Health & Medical Education Department for effective implementation of the scheme, which includes spreading mass awareness of the scheme by organizing special camps, involving the elected representatives of the areas , complete documentation at the time of registration to simplify the process of disbursement of Incentives to the beneficiaries and Asha Workers, filling up of all the vacant posts of Doctors and other Medical Staff in all Health Institutions.   Enhancement of Incentives to Asha workers especially in hilly areas and availability of 24x7 Transportation/Ambulance facilities in all medical Blocks was also suggested in the study.
